Coverings 2025: 3 Can’t-Miss Trends
Orlando, May 2025. Our buying team just returned from the renowned Coverings trade show in the U.S. Nicolas Costard, Head of Purchasing at La Tuilerie, shares the standout trends from this year’s edition. Here’s what he had to say.

1 – Stunning Colored Marbles
One clear standout trend this year: colored marble. Most of the time, it was displayed in a checkerboard pattern.
In the world of marble-look ceramics, some collections missed the mark — but others were impressively realistic.
Nicolas Costard shares:
“No fewer than six suppliers had their own interpretation. And the one I wanted to order? It was sold right from under my nose. But I didn’t leave empty-handed!”
He and the team selected genuine marble in 12 x 12 format in four different shades, coming soon to stores:
-
Bardiglio: a deep, elegant grey
-
Calacatta Viola: white base with bold violet veining
-
Afyon White: a classic, understated option
-
Mocca: a subtle, timeless beige

2 – Texture Takes the Lead
Another major trend: textured large formats — especially 24 x 48 tiles.
Nicolas selected a fully white, ultra-matte series with four unique textures.
His insight? “Neutral white fits the widest audience. And the texture is amazing!” An ideal combo for timeless, inviting interiors.

3 – Travertine. And More Travertine!
The undisputed star of 2025. Every supplier showcased travertine.
We already had a head start with the Navona collection in 24 x 48 (Vein Cut).
The team decided to expand La Tuilerie’s lineup with a new 24 x 24 format in Cross Cut, available in two beige tones.
It also comes in a fluted relief version (24 x 48), reminiscent of our best-selling Kora style.

Bonus – A Refined Stone-Look Favorite
One last favorite: a sophisticated natural stone-look series.
It looks like a zoomed-in version of our Keystone collection, with larger stone fragments. Available in three shades: white, beige, and black.
Another win? We’ve been ahead of the trend — Keystone has been part of our lineup for over a year.
Nicolas shares: “It’s always satisfying to see a trend we anticipated confirmed by the market.”

Between colorful marble, travertine, and textured finishes, Coverings 2025 confirms one thing:
Tile continues to reinvent itself — with trends that evolve, fade, and return in new forms.
