Frequently Asked Questions

Is terrazzo fragile?

No. Thanks to its epoxy resin base, it is highly resistant to cracking, aging and moisture.

Is special maintenance required?

Not at all. A mild soap is enough to preserve its shine.

Can the color vary?

No. Thanks to its stable composition, our terrazzo is very homogeneous, without unexpected variations in color.

Do tiles stain easily?

No. Unlike cementitious terrazzo, the epoxy version is very low in porosity. It absorbs almost nothing, and the terrazzo pattern is so intricate that it’s difficult to see a stain if one occurs.

Can I put it in my shower?

Not on the floor. But on shower walls or elsewhere in the bathroom, no problem.

How to cut terrazzo?

Using a wet saw fitted with a diamond blade, working slowly to avoid overheating.

What glue to use?

We recommend Mapei’s Ultralite S2 or Keraflex Extra S1 adhesives, which are ideal for large formats and low-absorbency substrates.

Which couli is recommended?

We recommend Ultracolor Plus FA (Fine Aggregate) for a consistent, compact, and stain-resistant seal.

Is a sealant necessary?

No sealant required: the epoxy resin base is non-porous and does not require additional protection.
